Harmani is the founder of DeliverAI, the open courier-pricing index for
South Africa. He started DeliverAI in 2025 because the same parcel could
cost two or three times more depending on which courier you happened to
pick — and there was no public source that compared them. Rate cards were
buried, complex and rarely comparable. Cross-border was even worse.

His answer was to build the dataset himself: a public, daily, machine-
readable record of what every major South African courier actually charges.

That dataset is what DeliverAI publishes today, free, under a CC-BY 4.0
licence. The company tracks 18 SA couriers across 20+ fixed routes, five
weight bands, and a growing set of cross-border lanes. It also runs a
Monthly Price Index newsletter and a weekly competitive-intelligence
digest, both free, and offers a paid Pro Data tier (R 2,499 / month VAT
incl) for businesses that need historical API access.

Harmani's view is simple: SA logistics will not get more competitive until
the prices are visible. DeliverAI is the layer that makes them visible.

He co-founded the company with Eddie Nyarkoh, who leads partnerships and
operations. The two work together from South Africa.
