How fuel surcharges work in SA
Most SA couriers publish a percentage adjustment that's added on top of their base rate card. The percentage tracks the diesel and 95 ULP price moves announced by the Department of Energy on the first Wednesday of every month. Couriers update their own surcharge between the 1st and 7th of the month. We capture and republish them on the 1st so you can verify a quote independently.
